Thanks everyone.

Tonight I decided to face my Nemises...... the BMF work!!!

The side spears looked to be the toughest as they are not the best defined, after primer, base silver, clear green coats and clear coats!!!

A lot more to do.

Looks great so far Al. Just curious, but do you have every bottle of paint Tamiya makes?

Thanks Dave.

On the Tamiya paint..... not quite! Tamiya do 88 colours and I currently have 70. Making me 18 short.

There are 99 jars on the shelves but that is because I have multiple bottles of the ones I use most.

Thanks all.

BMF is finished. As usual with me, I'm less than happy with it. LOL. Maybe I will be one day.

If my foiling looked as good as what I can see in your pics I'd be extremely pleased.

You must be very picky .

If there's a wrinkle somewhere, no big deal.  Perfection is rarely attained anyway.  Excellent passes muster for me.  Great work.

Colin and Steve:

I was born a Virgo and one of their traits is being a perfectionist, which I was until I met my wife. No, don't laugh, it's true. Over the years she taught me that life as a perfectionist is no fun at all. Constantly being dissatisfied with ones own best efforts is debilitaing.

Over the 39 years we have been together I have learned to accept and embrace my 'best efforts' at whatever I do. Accept for BMF. It still get's to me!!!

I've been procrastinating on this one as I knew getting all the wiring/plumbing hooked up was going to be a PITA!! However, what I didn't anticipate was the problem of getting the chassis/interior/engine into the body. It fitted perfectly earlier!!!!

Anyway, it's done now and everything is hooked up.

Just realised the rad cap needs painting and there is a little touch up to do on the battery.!!!

That is a rockin' engine bay.

I wonder why that is. Everything fits and looks good. Then final assembly time and it turns into a struggle. Gremlins that's what it is.

I never got why the companies did "test builds" (except for maybe cover fotos) as they already had finished the expen$ive dies the model parts are made from.  How much can be done at that late stage if things don't quite fit?
Glad you got the thing together.  A model isn't finished until a week after it's on the shelf!
