Moebius kit:

I've had this one for several years and for the longest time, I had intended to order the Tim Flock decals from Moebius and do the race version. But I have plenty of built race cars, so it's going to be stock, or maybe custom if I can figure out what to do with it!! Suggestions welcome!

Factory colours that year were Tango Red, Formal Black or Platinum white.

The body is totaly without flash, sink marks, swirl marks and such mold lines as there are, they are extremely fine and will take virtualy no sanding to get rid of them. There are six injection pin marks in the headliner but these too are very light indeed.

It's a big old boat too!

It also has some of the best chromework I have ever seen. More on that later.

I have heard nothing but good things about this kit. I have built their Hudson kit and it was great. I'll just pull up a chair and get out the chicken. popcorn

I sure wish they made the 300 in more colors, but you know you can't go wrong with Red !!!!!

Since none of the reviews I read about this kit reports an issues with body fit, I just had to go ahead and get some base coat colour down.

It's a big car and although not factory stock, I felt all red would be a bit too much for me, so I gave it a white roof.

Flames anyone??

Guess you don't like it John. Guess you probably don't like it like this either then!!

I'm undecided, so no final decision yet John and I may still change my mind,

Polish it and call it done; can't get a better color.

Al: If you do go with the red, I think it would look better if you did the window trim and pillars in white. Up to you though.

I've got one of those started in the stash. For color I'm thinking candy green fades.

John, whatever colour it winds up in, the A pillars, window trim and drain gutters will all be finished in BMF.

With some modifications I eventually have the suspension lowered to where I want it.

The front wheels still need to be spaced out maybe 1mm / 1.5mm on each side and I think they need to moved rearwards by about the same amount too.

My bad!! I completely forgot there would be BMF. With that in place the white roof will look good. I hope the stance works out; it's perfect.

I re-located the wheels 2mm further back and spaced them out closer to the arches.

Now I have it where I want it and I'm happy with it.
