You'd need a lot bigger jar to save up for an overpriced piece of #@&* like a Ferrari.

I'd definitely be available to look after an older vette for the rest of its operational life.

One of the neatest pieces of advertising I've seen in a long time. Strikes just the right note between happiness and sadness. Got to agree with Paul and Al though, to be truly satisfying the Corvette would have to be a 53.

The advert could be taken two ways in my opinion.

Either... good things come to those who wait

Or.... If you don't just be selfish and spend the money on what you want when you want, you'll be too old (or dead) when you get the chance, and have the money, to buy what you want.

Hmmmm.... Choices!

That was a great advert, I'm also in agreement with y'all, the '53 is so much sweeter (plus, no darn computers controlling everything)...

I also agree with Colin, Ferrari's are way over priced piece's of poop...

My dream car is easy, a MKll Ford Granada 2:8i Ghia X Estate...

If I wanted to go that slow, handle that poorly, and be that crude, I would get a '67 Cougar. '53 'Vette, you're kidding. There's many reasons why they didn't sell many.

I have a view on Als statement .... to which i agree, albeit have tendencies to improve certain aspects of the car.

The car i have now was designed as a comfortable reasonably fast cruiser, therefore a little tweak here and there is ok, its what the right foot does that matters and we have speed limits for a reason.......

..........so saying this i would be just as happy driving around in an old 53 vette with no driving aids or extra equipment, id still hit the highway limitations but, more importantly, have a blast with the "essence" of the car outweighing "statistics"

I agree with you Al, and the '53 is certainly not the prettiest of the breed either.

Give me a 275 GTS4  any day.

That's why I drive my Italia. it cost several million dollars less.

I was the idiot that sold the Corvette... It needed some stuff that I did not have the money to do at the time.  Looking back I should have waited, and held onto it.  I was a kid, and wanted an instant mint Corvette.  Oh how I wish I had not sold this car...

I'm not picky.  I don't like the 53-55 or the 84-90 cars, but pretty much any other than that I'd love to own.  Even the 70's cars many folks scoff at.

I think my #1 choice would be a 66 coupe.  That'd be on my short list of cars to get if I hit the lottery.

This is 22 year old me shortly after I bought my Corvette.  This was my life's dream at the time... I'm still shaking my head that this car isn't in my garage.  It took a few years for the regret to set in though haha
