Snake (Colin) asked if I could post some pictures of my finished ships. I've been building since 1969 when I was a kid. Made me happy then, makes me happy now, you car guys would know what I mean. Hope you like them and thanks for looking.

Terrific collection Chris and a lot of very pleasurable hours too I guess!!

First photo, shelf three.... the two smallets ships at the rear. What scale are they? and what are they?
They must be minute.

Any chance of some close ups of the armour, bottom righ quarter of the first photo and what is the armour on top of the cabinets? Diecast?

That photo shows my WW2 US Navy ships. Those two little ones are 1/700 scale PT boats. They are from Pitroad, the box contains 2 PT boats, 2 E boats and 2 British MTBs.

I'll post some pictures of the armour later. The armour on the top of the cabinets were part of a magazine subscription. They are 1/72 so they fit right in. The armour in the cabinet was mostly built about 30 years ago, I am about to go through the lot with weathering oils and new decals, maybe post some pics after I fix them.

Outstanding collection, Chris. And beautiful job on each of them.

The display case is nice too - where did that come from?

Excellent Collection Chris. Thanks for sharing it. I had to look at all the pictures twice and feel like I still haven't seen it all.

That's an amazing collection Chris, and the display is breath taking.

I see you still have room for more.

I like the Subs myself.

Have you done any civilian ships?

Can't talk right now, jaw is on the floor! What a beautiful collection. If u get time or things here are slow, maybe you could sort of explain the different categories and eras, showing a ship or two. I know little beyond the carriers and battleships.

Favorite name, "HMS Alacrity!" I can hear the Admiral giving the order, "Get there with alacrity!"

quite famous.......only Naval surface to surface contact in the Falklands War and the Alacrity sank an Argie supply ship

Thank you everyone for your kind words.

Shay - I've looked at my stash and prioritised what needs to be done. The Integrale is scheduled to be completed February 31, 2034.

Mike - The display case is IKEA. It is discontinued, I bought it about 15 years ago. They have a similar one called the Billy but the shelves aren't as deep.

Paul - Yes, it is a dio. I did it for the Derivan paint company to put on display. That is why the tanks are so clean as I needed to highlight the paint LOL. The base and building are from Matchbox, the tanks are Hasegawa and the lead figures are from Eureka Miniatures who are in Melbourne. Here's a true story - This dio was on loan to a shop in Sydney to display on their front window. There was a fire and the only thing to survive was this dio because it was on the front window. Lucky eh? When my cousin returned it to me he didn't say anything about the fire until I asked him why the bloody thing was covered in soot.

Sam - I have some car ferries and a Titanic in the stash to do. I also have a 1/600 scale Airfix QE2 which I started in the mid 1980s, probably should finish it methinks.

haron68 - I'll see what I can do. Thanks for your compliments, it's appreciated.

You've probably got more warships there than the whole Australian Navy ?

Excellent display !

Fabulous work Chris. Seems like the color spectrum is a bit limited though. Perhaps something in a metalflake or pearl would add a bit of sparkle? Just a thought...
