Was playing with this to figure out how to lower it, I took the int tub out and this is what it looks like

I would say that is good, now I need to look at the int fit and lower it some how

I'm thinking of doing the Yellow one in the pictures, body in yellow with a tan interior ( every one does a black int on a yellow car ) just to be different Sounds good to me

The height looks really good now. My suggestion is that you cut off the wheel mount assembly and add some plastic to the lower A arm, then reattach the wheel mount assembly. In the rear it would be best if you remove some of the spring height. That way the chassis, interior and body aren't changed in their location with each other.

Agree with Dave's suggestion to get the front down some.

I agree with Clay, that yellow GTO looks fabulous. Getting the ride height just right will be very important with this car, so that it looks just right. Nice looking work here.

Ditto from me. I note a disc front upgrade too. Very sensible.

There's two things wrong with that yellow gto............ It's not parked outside my house and the keys are not on my fob!

Got the engine done and went together fairly good

Painted the int. panels tan

Question; Do you guys think the tan would look good with a yellow car or should I change it to black or some other color ??

The GTO in the picture is black but I'm not doing a copy of that car just like the color

The one I did back in the day was...in yellow too! Nice color choice. Good luck getting her lower. One change ALWAYS leads to many others.

Good looking engine John, the blue paint looks spot on.

I'm with the rest of the guys with the interior colour although I'd prefer it a little deeper. It looks a bit pale and pinkish on my screen but that could just be the computer or camera.

Would a thin wash help with the interior? Could give it a bit more depth and shadow effect?

Nice work so far John.

I'm thinking the int. color will darken up once installed in the car but I might redo it a little darker !!

After getting the int. fitted to the body and did a mock up there was no change in the stance so I got to looking closer, found that the tunnel on the chassis was not sitting down inside the tunnel on the int. so did some checking on fit and here is what I did

Chassis before

Chassis after I removed it's tunnel

This is what I have now

Had a problem with photobucket but it's up and running now
Here is what the stance looks like after removing the chassis tunnel

The chassis is sitting on the pins in the back and the front bumper/grill assy. holds the front in place, have just a little more sanding to do on the removal of the tunnel and need to push the rear end assy. down just a little more but it's close to where I want it now. you guys are lucky you wasn't here when I was doing this cause the ears would be burnin' from the names and it almost had a bad wreck with the wall a couple of times SNAP KIT MY A$$

I hope nothing else pops up on the fit of this, going to work on the body next and get it ready for paint

Thanks for the kind words and info.

I think that stance looks about right for the car. They sat pretty level. Nice work John.

Got the body ready for paint and painted it and it's yellow

Hood and grille insert

sorry about the poor pictures must have been the lighting, need to let it dry for a couple of days and see what the int. tan looks like. The yellow came out a little lighter than I thought but it's still good

Now I can finish up the chassis and int. and maybe get it done by the end of 2014

Set the Int. tub in to see how the tan would look with the yellow

I think it looks pretty good, comments welcome
