Got the little Aston finished tonight.

From the off, I'd planned to have two thirds of the car covered by a tarp in my Mile End Garage dio. Just as well really, as I made a right pigs ear of the grille race number!!! The headlights are a bit droopy too. LOL. Now it's going to be the front two thirds that's covered I guess!!!

That's the kit I have. A U.S. magazine, "ROAD & TRACK" (I think) had a great spread and write up on the history. The model has great detail, an engine, opening rear trunk and fine surface detail. Your rendering shows the kit's strong and weak points. Headlights seem a bit big too. Wire wheels could've been better. Smart to do them in a dark colour. Did the kit have small "knock-offs" for the wheel centers, I don't remember.
Still, a commendable job of a fine and underappreciated classic racer.

Lovely job.

I have to agree with Ron above, the headlights are quite large for the scale (not off-putting though)
think you're right to tarp the front.....

Thanks guys. It's not brilliant but will sit well in the back of Mile End Garage methinks.
