Had no zoomies in my salvage, so will making 2 pair from these.

Made the front frame extensions needed to have some engine mounts. I do believe my imagineering will be stretched to the limit on this pig !

This design is just too bizarre, like half of the Tommy Ivo Showboat or a home-made one of the famous dual engine Freight Train. Good luck, the work so far shows you have the idea pretty well along. The steering will be hard to replicate, I'm guessing. What it needed was power steering!

I see what might be a rod passing thru the chassis, but have no idea how the 1:1 steers. Only thing I can think might be a FWD trans axle that I don't know how to model. I wasn't even thinking of trying any steering at all. I have a quick change rear end glued to the bell housing on the front engine. I'll see if I can fake something ??????
Maybe y'all better practice employing the ridicule icon.

It's coming on nicely Clay.

Using a solid axle at the front is going to create massive problems for steering. Better to go with a transaxle and drive shafts.

I can probably scare up a transaxle for you if that would help!!

Thanks, Skid.
That's a lot of trouble when I can be just as happy cobbling up some imagineering.
I think leaving a solid non-steering front might stretch the credulity a bit

Maybe put some outer knuckles on it like a 4x4 front end and then run basic steering rod ?

This production was destined for a comedic outcome from the get-go.
I like Sam's idea and will run with that.
First, (after cutting  the  axle shaft stubs off the quick change box), I made some backing plates from a couple of Chev hubcaps, and got some U joints from a steering shaft.

Next, I needed plates to cover the sides of the  quick change housing. I see no need to hide the identity of these.

I guess the ideal thing would have been a front differential from a 4X4 truck. Then you would have had all the steering and stuff ready to go.

Like it a lot Clay.

Progress report, even though it's just mundane stuff. Been making the engines busy looking with a little detailing and working on the cockpit area. The rear engine is permanently installed in the frame.

Both engines installed. Just need to add a couple of  coils, close in the cockpit sides and put 'er together.
