Thought i'd just bash this out as a quick build, i think the longest thing to wait for will be the paint drying.

Progress after a couple of minutes, things off the sprues and cleaned up, the two piece body is glued and clamped

the instructions took some time to read and inwardly digest .... like about 3 seconds!!!

I have a couple of 1/32 heads in the bits bin and i'll see if i can reshape a helmet to look like a older style crash-hat, might have some goggles that i can use too ... will just add a little bit to the interior

Colin:  It's always inspiring to see some one take on a challenge.

Cool little project. I am interested in seeing it finished. I'll bet it's a great shelf filler.

Me too Mike.

Very basic indeed but the canopy looks to be quite nice.

I'll be watching through this long and arduous build Colin!!

Well ..... it's all gone nipples skywards.

got the wheels done, a head painted adequately enough for under the canopy and the exhausts all silvered and "smoked" on the ends.

I get it all painted a lovely lime green with a nice metal flake stripe............

............And i drop it and tread on the damn thing as i'm pushing my chair back to pick it up!!!!!

BINNED IT !!!!!

Yep, that's the poor quality kit I got waaay back when. Wrap a rubber band around the axle, wind it up and watch it go! It was strictly for the kiddies. Nowadays with parts from other scale kits, the pro builders can make that sow's ear into a silk purse. Probably no p.e. parts available, but a rubber band is an option!

Colin:  You have my sincere sympathy.  Been there, did that!!  Finished one of the doors on my Texaco diorama last year; dropped it and then ran over it with my chair while looking for it.  Talk about a "golly, gee whiz" moment.

Sorry to hear that, Colin.

Those rolling chairs can be so handy, but OH so deadly.

A possibility Nigel, some "anti clumsy bugger" medication would be better in my case I think!
