Where the magic happens. Just a cover for the glue sniffing really. Here I am at my desk on a fine Autumn Sunday afternoon.
How about we all post a photo of us at our desks?

Be good to put a face to the user name

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks Chris. It's always good to put a face to the name. I prefer MEK to glue. To each his own.

....just when I delete my cartoon avatar thinking that you've all seen too much of me, and you want pictures??
Actually, I shy away from cameras Chris, so these will have to do for the time being
...I'm a couple of years older now!

Good idea Chris. Here I am at my workbench in the garage:

This is where my glue sniffing takes place, and also the metal turning on the lathe just behind me. The California Charger community build is in my hands. A small part of my stash is shown, and yes that is a Sunbeam Tiger, and the Accurate Miniatures McLaren CanAm and Corvette. And of course, there is the mandatory satellite radio/CD player/amplifier for good tunes!!!

I don't know guys.  I can actually see the tops of your desks.  About the only time you can see mine is between projects.  This could be embarrassing.  Seriously, this is a good idea.  I'll get a photo up tomorrow.

Thanks for the photo Skid. I expected to see pointy ears!!!

What caught my attention is the photo of the "flying" Lotus on the wall. Jim Clark? What a great photo of the great old days of F1!

Pointy ears????

Yes Pete, Jim Clark at the 'Ring' in 1967. It's a limited print (121/500) by artist Alan Sanderson.

He was my hero when I was a young lad. Still one of the greatest drivers of all time in my books.

Recognise the photos behind my head Buck???

Yes I do Al. Those are cars from the AA/S tour. I can remember getting those at Woodburn Oregon for you. I think some at signed. The top two cars, "Wait For Me" and the 37 Oldsmobile "Scream" are both crashed and are no more.

I finally got around to posting my picture here. Eddie is my best mate who has the habit of lying underneath my bench at my feet. Sometimes a tiny grey plastic part falls on his grey fur and if he gets up and moves then so does the part.

Thanks for sharing the photo Chris..... but which one are you??

If ever I had another dog, it would be a Terrier type just like Eddie. He's gorgeous Chris.

Ya see, THESE are why fotos are weird! As with people we hear on radio, the faces don't fit what we have in our heads when we think of friends we haven't seen. Of course, my mind's eye has everyone younger and more like movie stars. Reality bites!

Thanks for the post Chris. I like Eddie, miniature Schnauzer? As a kid, we had a very similar salt and pepper Schnauzer. Great dog, but did like to chew on any shoe left on the floor .... especially fond of sneakers!

I agree with the comment that these pictures alter one's perception of our "modeling" friends. But I think it is good to know the reality!

Finally got around to having SWMBO take a photo.  For what it is worth, here is the fat old man at his bench.

I recognize that face, John. Good to see you again.

Interesting that most are sitting at desk height tables. Mine is standing height, and I have a bar stool for any sitting. But I mostly stand and prefer to work that way!

Yep! I tell people that he is an old man in a dog suit.

Pete - yes, he is a miniature schnauzer, 5 years old. Best pet I have ever had.
