Great work on the Ferrari engine, it takes up most of the wheelbase. We need more V-12 hot rods. The web has a foto of a dragster with an injected Jaguar V-12, so cool!

The plumbing and wiring is looking great Colin.

An observation and a suggestion if I may.

Observation: The water hoses to the rad look a tad too thin but not overly so if you don't have anything a little thicker.

Suggestion: Try pushing the HT leads closer together and in the directions show in the photos. I think they'll look more realistic if you do.

On a real deal Ferrari engine, they go through and emerge out of a 'collector' tube but trying to replicate that is extremely difficult. I know, I have tried and failed!! LOL

Thanks for the info Al, I've seen the collector type assembly and it looked a right royal pain in the backside to replicate so I thought I'd space the leads out and try and make a clamp/bracket type thing which seems to be just as much of a task.
Maybe just reposition them as per your input.... might actually be better.

The rad hoses didn't look too bad to the eye..... But now you point it out on the photo they do look a bit pathetic if I'm honest, I'll up the diameter a bit.

Any other ideas and tips..... Post away please chaps.

got the firewall, tranny, drive shaft, clutch linkage and shifter linkage done

and the front axle moved back and on the frame

got a lot more to do yet. Got one more computer to do ( I think ) and then I can start working on this a lot more

Every body is doing great on their builds with good progress.

Nothing wrong with orange, black and chrome when they all sit on the same vehicle.
Nice detailing on this too.

Ive been held back in production with checking rules, regs and images to make sure this stays within the guidelines for entries into its class.
I like to push boundaries for things and come up with "one-offs" whilst staying within the confines of the original.

decided to go with this sort of cage design, bit unusual but does the job. Got the loose wiring done, thickened the rad pipes up, added steering shaft, gear lever and pedals as close to regs as the scale would let me.

also saw this ... a swivel bar to allow easier access for the driver, need to try and find some more images online to see what ways they were locked in place

still lots to do

The HT leads look much better now Colin as do the water hoses.

Nice touch on the swivel bar. Methinks the driver needs it, as it looks like a real tight fit in there.

Good work on the cage.

Cage looks more like a sprint car cage than a drag cage, but it works and works well.

.... last of the engine hoses are installed ............ after decals it will be on to finish the steering, front suspension, headers, and add the front canard wing ............ heading into the home stretch

.... Finished up my attempt at creating the Howard Cams Rattler from a Revell California Charger kit ............ took these quick shots out on the deck this morning ............ will try to get some better photos to go in the "Finished" thread .............. the build is really pretty much box stock, using only Competition Resins body panels and chute, a scratchbuilt injector scoop, and Slixx decals .............. everything in the chassis came from the box

Looks great John    Those 1/16th scale are better to detail and come with the tubing in the T/F and F/C kits, you did a great job as usual
