Thanks Bruce !

It didn't take long to join the two pieces.  And add tail feathers.

You can say that again, Buck....lol

I got the bottom painted.   Once it dries, I'll mask off the bottom color and start on the top.

For a Tamiya kit I usually expect a "wow" factor, but this one seems sort of ordinary in detail. I hope the Tamiya decals are as good as on the better car kits. As for design, it does look very aero. No wonder pilots loved them. Good luck on the rest of the kit.

It is 1/48....if you want the Tamiya WOW factor, take a look at their 1/32 kits.

The bottom was masked and the top sprayed brown.  Next I'll have to mask the camo pattern and spray green.

Sorry Paul, I didn't take a pic with the masking on.  I used Tamiya tape

I've started on the top decals.  Tamiya included white decals to put under the roundels.  I guess to stop any bleed through from the camo colors.

I'm sure if I hadn't put the white circles down first, the camo would have shown thru the roundels.

I got the decals all done.  I'll shoot a couple of mist coats of flat on it, then start gluing on all the bits that stick out.
