PostSubject: Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas to me   Fri 10 Jan 2014, 12:49 am

As you guys probably know, my real passion when it comes to modeling is scratch building structures and dioramas. I usually cut all of my own lumber on my band saw. For sometime I have been whining to my wife that my life would be fulfilled if only I had a Byrne Hobby Machines table saw. She finally gave in and told me to order one for my birthday and for Christmas. It was delivered today. Life is good!!!

Here are the photos you guys wanted to see.

So far I am really impressed with the saw.  It came very well packed and is exactly as advertised.  Other than the blade guard (which I immediately removed) and the vacuum port it is all metal.

I made a couple of test cuts and found it to be absolutely square right out of the box.  This is the first tool I have ever bought that was accurate out of the box without adjustment.  Overall I think I am going to be very happy with it.

Technology! It should save time, just be careful. We all get careless at times, so go slowly.

Looks cool John. Should be a good tool for you to have. Like my jeweler's lathe, after you have it a while, you will wonder how you ever got along without it!!!

Pete, after seeing what you can do with that lathe at GSL last spring I sure wish I knew how to use one. I've been a woodworker for years so a table saw is really familiar, but a metal lathe is a mystery to me.
