Pete this is looking awesome. It takes me back to the days when I worked on bugs at a dealership.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I am really having fun with this one.

Sam, what vehicle line for the doors? For some of them, you may be talking to the one who had some input into them!!! Your choices are:

FLD
Sterling
Century Class family
Business Class M2
Cascadia

You tell me which ones you don't like, and I will tell you which ones I worked on! And I will stay away from all dark alleys. LOL

And Buck, I have changed a lot of clutch and throttle cables too!! Pain in the you know where. I especially hate adjusting the clutch. Not hard, just a tough place to get to without taking the wheel off.

Hi Pete,

This is looking fantastic, I really do like that shade of yellow, you have a great eye for details...

I know what you mean about all the snow, I have some friends who live in Portland and sent me some photos, I think your better off staying in, please take care...

Andy...

This is where the Bonneville Bug sits at the moment .... quite literally:

Bug has to get done by next Friday, as Saturday morning is the Portland Model Car Fest (NNL), and it has to be there!!! There might be some late nights between now and then.

Still rocks no matter where it sits.   I am not going to ask if you will have it at the NNL this Saturday but, Are you? See you there.

That is what I am aiming for. Got some more work done on it today, but it is hard with the sunny warm weather. Did have to go for a 30 mile bike ride this morning!!

Looking forward to seeing you again, Buck!

Just incredible! I've kept up with it and can't praise it enuf! Single weak spot is distributor and wires. I don't know if it's the size of the wires or diameter of the cap, but they look a bit squeezed into a tight space. Other than that, a real thrill to watch it come together.
Some U.S. company came out with a superdetailed double VW bug kit decades ago. One had a blown engine as a drag car and the other box stock. They had opening doors and good detail, tho the stock one depended on molded plastic wheel/tire halves that looked horrible and had to be glued together. Thanx for lots of hours of hard work! This Spring, when it comes, be careful in the outdoors. The story on the Washington mudslide gives us all pause to be careful.

Good luck for the show, even though you probably don't need it.
I've been following this from the start and you deserve a medal.
