Now that your excellent Falcon is finished Al, I'm giving myself a deadline for this weekend for the Mustang.
It'll be nice to see if the chassis and body fit together with the cage and windows glued in.

...I learnt a good lesson yesterday - 'Don't fit decals until you have done all the foiling'

Although I took care foiling around the Mustang screens, I caught the gold striping decals on the roof, pulling some of it off.
I managed to retrieve the damaged pieces and using Decalfix re-applied it - but unfortunately cracking can be seen close up.
After half an hour of sweating, swearing and mild panic, I came to my senses and accepted it is part of the game, and there are more serious things to worry about.
But final assembly (and photos) should come together tomorrow as planned, barring any more mishaps.

Almost there....with a few bits left to do.
...just glued the cage to the chassis, and never fitted the body with it in
- but once the body is snapped over the chassis, it's not coming off again.

Colour looks a bit pink, but that's just the lights as it is a dark red, and light cracking of the gold stripes can be just seen above the screen.
I'm off for a late lunch now but all being well I will be finishing it off tonight.

WOW this so awesome looking, super fantastic work!

That intake is awesome, which kit exactly did you pull it from? It would be super if you could post up the box art, thanks so much.

Whew, nearly finished.
Engine is from the Revell '70 Mustang, and comes with the 'Cross-Boss' intake and inline carbs.
I'll try and dig out photo.

Here you go.....

Thanks Ron I'll buy the kit just for the engine bit. Check that I'm pretty sure I have it in the stash.
